If you need to schedule a second interview for a candidate (especially mid or high-level roles), here’s exactly how to do it using the calendar. This is best for ad hoc meetings where more decision-makers need to be involved.
📅 How to Schedule a Second Interview
1. Prep with the Candidate
- ✅ After the first interview, confirm availability with the candidate for the second meeting.
- ✅ Mention it’s a follow-up with another team member (e.g. CEO, GM).
2. Book via Calendar View
- Click on an open time slot in your calendar that aligns with the candidate’s availability.
- In the pop-up:
- Adjust the calendar if needed (default is usually set to Regional Manager).
- Title: Use something like "Second Interview – [Candidate Name]".
- Description (optional): Add any context or notes about the meeting.
3. Add the Candidate
- In the contact field, search and select the applicant’s name to attach them to the interview.
4. Set the Time
- Adjust the time and date as needed (e.g. 3:00 PM Thursday).
- The system will default to 15 minutes, adjust if needed.
5. Finalize
- Click "Book Interview" to save it to the calendar.
⚠️ Important Notes
- Don’t use this for entry-level roles—it slows down hiring and reduces scalability.
- Applicants are only on the market for ~8 days, so act fast.
- For smoother hiring, train to hire right the first time—reach out if you want access to those trainings.
Done! The second interview is now booked and visible in the calendar.
